2026 Beijing Art Season to Enrich Cultural Landscape
This week, Beijing's 798 Art District unveiled the 2026 Beijing Art Season, scheduled from May 21 to June 15. The theme, "Art Gathers in Beijing, Harmony Embraces All," seeks to merge artistic endeavors domestically and globally through 400 events, inclusive of exhibitions and forums.
Central events include the Gallery Weekend Beijing and Beijing Dangdai Art Fair. The Art Season introduces a novel structure linking the primary gallery market with the secondary auction market, promoting Beijing's art ecosystem. The festival will span six districts of Beijing, incorporating various cultural activities and digital displays, aimed at a broad audience.
This year aligns with the China-Brazil Year of Culture, spotlighting Brazilian art. Moreover, a children's painting exhibition in partnership with UNESCO will highlight ecological themes.
