2CRSi Updates on AETHER Infrastructures Governance and Project Progress
On August 5, 2026, 2CRSi, a Strasbourg-based server manufacturer, shared updates on AETHER Infrastructures, the project company for the AETHER project. This venture, chaired by Holding Alain Wilmouth, is progressing with a pending approval for the "FR-SXB1" site offer, while the "FR-SXB2" site received final approval on July 31, 2026. This approval allows partial occupancy from October 1, 2026, facilitating earlier construction work.
The Strasbourg industrial site offers 25 MW of power, expandable with additional grid operator support. It will host AI computing factories and 2CRSi’s AI Factory modules. A recent EU call for tenders for AI Gigafactories aims to boost Europe's computing capacity, with the AETHER consortium, including 2CRSi, planning to participate.
