El Chato Crowned Best in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025
The prestigious Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2025 was unveiled in Antigua, Guatemala. Sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, the event marked its 13th edition. El Chato in Bogotá secured the top spot, led by chef Álvaro Clavijo. This accolade acknowledges the restaurant's culinary excellence and its dedication to local ingredients.
Buenos Aires emerged as a culinary hub with eight restaurants on the list, trailed by Lima with seven and Santiago with five. Kjolle in Lima and Don Julio in Buenos Aires were recognized as the best in Peru and Argentina, respectively.
New entrants included Santiago's Casa Las Cujas, achieving the Highest New Entry Award, alongside debuts from La Paz and Bogotá. Special accolades went to Cosme, Rodolfo Guzmán, and Bianca Mirabili among others, recognizing achievements in climbing rankings and culinary arts.
