ABB Achieves Record Order Intake and Solid Q2 2025 Performance
ABB reported record-high orders totaling $9.8 billion in Q2 2025, a 16% increase from the previous year. The company's revenues rose by 8% to reach $8.9 billion, while income from operations improved by 14%, amounting to $1.573 billion. The operational EBITA margin reached 19.2%, reflecting a slight growth of 20 basis points compared to last year.
Despite this growth, cash flow from operating activities saw a slight decrease of 1%, totaling $1.059 billion. However, the return on capital employed stood strong at 23.1%. The Process Automation segment notably contributed to the order growth, securing a large order worth approximately $600 million.
CEO Morten Wierod highlighted the broad-based positive developments across the business's geographic and sectoral spread, even amidst geopolitical uncertainties. ABB remains optimistic for the rest of the year, expecting continued growth in revenue and operational EBITA margins.
