ABO Energy Secures Success in German Wind Tender

In a significant win, ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA has secured tariffs for five wind projects in the Federal Network Agency's latest tender. The projects, totaling 80 megawatts, include three wind farms in North Rhine-Westphalia, one in Lower Saxony, and another in Baden-Württemberg. These projects are scheduled for commissioning in 2027.

The May 2025 tender awarded contracts for 372 bids, amounting to 3.4 gigawatts, with an average value of 6.83 cents per kilowatt-hour. This marks a decrease from the previous value of 7.00 cents. Kristof Frank, Head of Project Development Wind Germany, noted the growing competitive pressures in the sector.

ABO Energy's achievements continue to climb with 265 megawatts of permits already received in the first half of 2025. Permit applications have also surged, reaching 850 megawatts by the end of June.
