ABO Energy Sells Polish and Hungarian Subsidiaries
ABO Energy has confirmed the sale of its Polish and Hungarian subsidiaries to PPC, a leading utility group in Southeast Europe. The agreement includes the transfer of all 38 employees, a development pipeline with a capacity of approximately two gigawatts, five operational solar parks totaling 82 megawatts, and an additional 17-megawatt solar farm close to completion.
This transaction supports ABO Energy’s strategic focus on regions offering sustainable, long-term growth. The sale follows the divestment of the Greek subsidiary and part of the Finnish wind power projects. The deal, pending regulatory approvals, is expected to close by the end of the year.
Since 2019, ABO Energy has developed significant renewable projects in Hungary and Poland. Despite this sale, ABO Energy is committed to a sustainable restructuring and financing strategy in the coming months.
