Accor to Sell Essendi Stake in €975 Million Deal

On April 1st, 2026, Accor announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to sell its 30.56% stake in Essendi to a consortium led by Blackstone and Colony IM. The transaction is valued at up to €975 million, with €675 million payable at closing and an additional earn-out of up to €300 million. The deal aligns with Accor's strategy to streamline and bolster the stability of its business model.

Essendi's hotel portfolio will gradually transition to franchise contracts, maintaining the Accor brand for 20 years. The transaction, pending shareholder agreement finalization and regulatory approvals, is expected to close in Q3 2026. Post-transaction, Accor plans a €500 million share buyback, launching the first €225 million tranche for 2026.
