GACM Reports Robust Growth in First Half of 2025
Groupe des Assurances du Crédit Mutuel (GACM) experienced a notable increase in gross written premiums, reaching €8.8 billion by mid-2025, marking a 16.4% rise from the previous year. This growth was largely driven by record-level inflows in savings & retirement insurance, which amounted to €5.5 billion, a 28.0% increase year-over-year.
In the property & casualty segment, gross written premiums stood at €3.3 billion, with a rise of 1.1% compared to 2024. Adjustments in pricing, driven by inflation and climate change-related costs, contributed to a more favorable combined ratio of 97.4%, down from 101.2% the previous year.
The first half of 2025 also witnessed GACM's expansion in Germany, securing BaFin's approvals and positioning itself as a partner with TARGOBANK starting 2026. Additionally, GACM introduced new initiatives in health and protection insurance to cater to evolving policyholder needs.
