Adani Airports Secures $1 Billion Equity from Global Investors

Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) is set to raise approximately $1 billion in primary equity from a consortium of prominent global investors. This initiative, involving Alpha Wave Global, Premji Invest, Temasek, and BlackRock-managed funds, values AAHL at around $18 billion pre-money. Upon completion of the transaction, these investors will collectively hold a 5.54% stake in AAHL.

The funds will be directed towards expanding and modernizing airport infrastructure, with a focus on increasing capacity to serve 200 million passengers annually. This includes developing 22 million sq. ft. of mixed-use spaces in the initial phase and enhancing non-aeronautical services.

This investment marks a notable endorsement of AAHL's growth potential amid India's aviation sector growth. The transaction underscores Adani's access to long-term institutional capital following a major successful fundraising earlier this year.
