Adani Group Plans $100 Billion Investment in AI Data Centres by 2035
Adani Group has announced a $100 billion investment to develop renewable-powered AI data centres by 2035. This initiative is set to support India's burgeoning AI ecosystem, with an anticipated additional $150 billion in related investments, forming a projected $250 billion AI infrastructure.
The expansion will see AdaniConnex's data centre capacity grow from 2 gigawatts (GW) to 5 GW across multiple campuses in India. The conglomerate has partnered with tech giants like Google and Microsoft to build gigawatt-scale AI campuses in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR).
The backbone of this initiative will be supported by Adani Green Energy's ongoing projects, with a focus on integrating renewable energy, advanced cooling systems, and high-density AI infrastructure. The strategic plan will also reserve GPU capacity for Indian AI start-ups and research institutions.
