ADS-TEC Energy Unveils Major Battery Energy Storage Project in Germany

ADS-TEC Energy has announced plans to develop one of the largest battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the world, designed to output 1 gigawatt with a storage capacity of approximately 2 gigawatt-hours. Located in southern Germany, this project aims to secure stable cash flows and accelerate the energy transition. The site has already received grid connection approvals.

The development, expected to conclude by 2026, with operations starting in 2029, will integrate large-scale solar panel systems. Revenue projections are over €230 million annually, enhancing the project's significance in Europe's energy landscape. ADS-TEC Energy will manage the project's complete lifecycle with their extensive expertise in lithium-ion storage technologies.
