ADS-TEC Energy Joins Alabama Mobility and Power Consortium

ADS-TEC Energy, a leader in battery-based energy storage and fast-charging systems, has announced its membership in the Alabama Mobility and Power (AMP) Consortium. This collaboration includes The University of Alabama, Alabama Power, and Mercedes-Benz, aiming to advance electric vehicle and mobility innovation. The AMP Center acts as a hub for research and economic development in EV technology, charging infrastructure, and power systems.

ADS-TEC Energy’s involvement aims to enhance the consortium's work in the EV sector, leveraging its expertise in ultra-fast charging and energy storage. As part of this initiative, their U.S. headquarters in Auburn, Alabama, will expand operations in 2025 to address growing demand, with the AMP Center serving as a key site for product testing and validation.

Jason Powers, ADS-TEC Energy's Vice President for North America, expressed excitement about contributing to Alabama’s leadership in modern mobility technologies. The collaboration is set to strengthen efforts in EV adoption and advanced charging techniques both in Alabama and nationwide.
