Aduna Partners with Major U.S. Carriers to Launch Network-Based Authentication
Aduna, a global leader in network APIs, has teamed up with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon to introduce a network-based authentication system in the U.S. This initiative aims to enhance digital security and reduce identity fraud, increasingly prevalent due to AI-enhanced scams. The new solution, called Number Verification, offers an alternative to SMS One-Time Passcodes (OTPs), authenticating users by verifying their mobile number through carrier networks in real-time.
The solution addresses previous technical challenges of network-based verification, offering seamless functionality across various devices and networks. This advancement helps prevent interception and account takeovers, promising a secure login experience for U.S. smartphone users.
With record fraud losses reported by consumers, this launch represents a significant step towards more secure digital experiences, bolstering consumer trust and reducing fraud risk in today's complex digital landscape.
