Aeonian Resources Initiates Drill Program at Koocanusa Copper Project
Aeonian Resources Ltd. announced plans for its inaugural diamond drill program at the Koocanusa Copper Project in southeastern British Columbia. Drilling is scheduled to begin by March 2026, pending current financing completion.
The Jake Target is the initial focus, chosen for its promising shallow copper mineralization and chargeability anomalies coinciding within a favorable anticlinal fold structure. The project aims to verify the Revett-style copper model and assess the district's potential along a 50 km copper trend.
The first phase includes two diamond drill holes from a single pad, minimizing surface disturbance. The program seeks to intercept identified chargeability anomalies and provide critical data for 3D modeling and future expansion.
Strong regional analogues, such as the Libby Project in Montana, support the potential of Koocanusa, underlining the project's long-term exploration viability.
