Swiss Medical Network Boosts Operating Profit in Q1 2026
Swiss Medical Network, part of AEVIS VICTORIA SA, has reported a notable improvement in operating profitability for the first quarter of 2026. Total revenue for the healthcare segment reached CHF 291.4 million, a 12.7% rise from the previous year. However, net revenue—which stands at CHF 226.0 million—saw a more modest increase of 1.5%. This growth is partially attributed to restructuring measures initiated in 2025.
EBITDAR rose by 16.0% to CHF 49.3 million, with EBITDAR margins improving from 19.1% to 21.8%. EBITDA saw a substantial rise of 21.3%, reaching CHF 25.2 million, and EBIT climbed 47.4% year-on-year. Hospital operations, in particular, contributed to this earnings boost. The outpatient and primary care segments also showed promising signs of recovery with EBITDAR increasing by 69.6%.
The gradual implementation of new tariff agreements has caused comparison distortions, yet Swiss Medical Network continues to push for an integrated, cost-efficient healthcare model.
