Franco-Saudi Medical Cooperation: SAF-MD Program Launch
The visit of Prince Mohammed BIN SALMAN to France marked the launch of the Saudi-French Medical Exchange and Cooperation Program (SAF-MD). During this event, Truffle Capital, Carvolix SA, and Carvolix Saudi LLC signed an agreement to strengthen cardiology and surgery exchanges between French and Saudi centers.
Co-chaired by Professor Stéphan Haulon and Dr. Mirvat Alasnag, SAF-MD aims to promote exchanges and training in complex cardiovascular procedures, utilizing AI and robotics. This venture aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing healthcare transformation and talent development.
The initial three-year program seeks to advance interventional cardiology, heart surgery, and neurovascular emergency management. It also plans for a MedTech facility in Saudi Arabia to serve multiple markets.
