AFYREN Secures €3 Million Grant from Grand Est Region
AFYREN, a greentech firm specializing in biobased products, has secured a €3 million grant from the Grand Est Region via the European Just Transition Fund. This funding supports investment in AFYREN's NEOXY plant, fully owned by the company. The grant aligns with the EU’s initiative to aid regions in adapting to a sustainable economy.
Nicolas Sordet, CEO of AFYREN, emphasized how recent geopolitical events underscore the need for bio-based alternatives to oil. The grant will bolster performance investments at their biorefinery, supporting economic and environmental resilience.
In March 2026, AFYREN also received a final €2.2 million installment from Bpifrance’s France Relance grant, aimed at strategic sector investments, marking successful project milestones.
