Air Liquide Expands Home Healthcare in Germany

Air Liquide has acquired intensivLeben GmbH and AP-Sachsen GmbH, two outpatient intensive care companies in Germany. This move strengthens its presence in the healthcare market, supporting over 220,000 patients in Germany alone. These acquisitions enhance Air Liquide's strategic focus on Home Healthcare, a key element of its growth strategy, serving 2.1 million chronic patients globally.

The newly acquired companies are located in Saxony, Eastern Germany, and specialize in intense care for patients with severe conditions such as chronic respiratory insufficiency and neuromuscular diseases. They operate nine centers with 138 employees, including around 100 nurses, providing personalized care.

With 20 Community Care centers in Germany, Air Liquide aims to improve patient quality of life and optimize healthcare costs. Diana Schillag of Air Liquide stated that these expansions cater to the increasing demand for home medical care due to demographic shifts, strengthening the group's regional presence in Germany.
