Airbus First Quarter 2025 Financial Performance Overview

Airbus SE has released its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, highlighting progress despite ongoing supply chain challenges. The company delivered 136 commercial aircraft, generating revenues of €13.5 billion, a 6% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The adjusted EBIT stood at €0.6 billion, with an overall reported EBIT of €0.5 billion. However, free cash flow before customer financing was recorded at €-0.3 billion.
The order backlog reached 8,726 commercial aircraft, while the Defense and Space division saw an increase in order intake value to €2.6 billion from €2.0 billion in Q1 2024. Airbus maintains its 2025 guidance with targets including 820 commercial aircraft deliveries and €7.0 billion in adjusted EBIT.
The company faces supply chain pressures, particularly in ramping up the production of A350 and A220 models. While the defense sector showed improved profitability, Airbus continues discussions regarding the A400M program to ensure future readiness and efficiency.
