Allianz Reports Record Operating Profit in Q1 2026
Allianz SE has announced a record operating profit of 4.5 billion euros for the first quarter of 2026, marking a 6.6% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was largely driven by strong developments in the Property-Casualty and Asset Management segments.
Shareholders' core net income surged by 48.4% to 3.8 billion euros, influenced by the sale of stakes in Indian joint ventures. Underlying growth, adjusted for these sales, stood at 7%.
The company's annualized core return on equity reached 24.2%, while the Solvency II ratio improved by 2 percentage points to 221%. Allianz remains confident in achieving its full-year operating profit target of 17.4 billion euros.
The Asset Management segment saw excellent organic growth, with a record first-quarter inflow of 45 billion euros, while the Property-Casualty segment reported its highest quarterly operating profit, driven by a strong insurance service result.
