Alstom Invests Over 150 Million Euros to Expand Production in France
Alstom, a leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has announced an investment exceeding 150 million euros to expand production at its sites in France. This move aims to address the increasing demand for very high-speed trains on both the French and international markets. The Valenciennes Petite-Forêt site will receive more than 30 million euros for a new assembly line dedicated to high-speed trains.
The La Rochelle site will see its carbody shell and assembly lines doubled. The company plans to hire 1,000 people in 2025, boosting both employment within the company and among its suppliers. Alstom is also set to invest in digitalisation and simulation to enhance efficiency.
