AMAG Austria Metall AG Reports Significant Earnings Growth in H1 2026

AMAG Austria Metall AG announced a successful first half of 2026, marked by a notable increase in earnings. The company reported an 8.2% revenue growth, reaching EUR 850.7 million, compared to H1/2025. This success is attributed to higher shipment volumes and rising aluminium prices.

EBITDA rose by 25.4% to EUR 101.1 million, demonstrating strong profitability. The EBITDA margin also improved to 11.9%. Net income after taxes increased by 73.7% to EUR 40.7 million. Strong operational performance at the Ranshofen site and favourable conditions at the Canadian aluminium smelter Alouette contributed significantly.

Despite geopolitical uncertainties, AMAG maintained growth in strategic sectors like automotive and aerospace. However, cash flow from operating activities was negative at EUR -56.7 million, mainly due to higher capital commitment. The company maintains a robust balance sheet, with equity at EUR 740.4 million and an equity ratio of 41.0%.
