Amdocs Unveils AI-RAN Blueprint with Industry Partners

Amdocs, partnering with Supermicro and 1Finity, has successfully developed a live AI-RAN field-validated blueprint. This collaboration integrates NVIDIA AI infrastructure on Red Hat Openshift, creating a robust foundation for current RAN operations and future edge AI applications.

The blueprint was tested using 1Finity Open vRAN software on Supermicro ARM-based servers with NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips. It illustrates the potential of AI-assisted optimization in enhancing network performance, efficiency, and anomaly detection. This integration allows cloud-native operations to simplify deployment and upgrades on a unified platform.

Amdocs supports this through their agentic operating system, aOS, which enables global communications service providers (CSPs) to deploy and scale easily. The initiative is considered a significant step toward more autonomous network operations. It sets the stage for AI-driven innovations enabling CSPs to adopt new intelligent applications beyond traditional connectivity services.
