Aperam strengthens its position in alloys with the acquisition of Magnetec
Aperam SA, based in Luxembourg, has announced the acquisition of the Magnetec Group, a specialist in nanocrystalline magnetic components. This transaction is part of the development of Aperam's Alloys and Specialties division, thereby strengthening its position in the global electrical and electronic engineering markets.
Founded in 1984, Magnetec, headquartered in Hanau, Germany, has production facilities in Hungary, Moldova, Vietnam, and China. The transaction enhances Aperam's product offering, improves its R&D capabilities, and strengthens its supply chain resilience.
Sud Sivaji, CEO of Aperam, said that this acquisition represents a strategic step forward, fostering the company's innovation-driven growth and diversifying its market towards advanced magnetic solutions.
