Apex Critical Metals Acquires U.S. Property for Rare Earth Exploration
Apex Critical Metals Corp., a Canadian company focusing on strategic metals, has announced the acquisition of exploration rights to a 2,407-acre property in the Midwestern U.S., targeting rare earth elements and critical minerals. This acquisition fits within a broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the North American critical minerals sector.
The acquired property is part of a long-known but underexplored rare metal complex. Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. has been engaged to analyze historical data and make future exploration recommendations. Apex’s CEO, Sean Charland, highlights the alignment of this acquisition with shifting government priorities and increased industrial demand for rare earth elements and niobium.
This expansion comes amid significant U.S. investments in rare earth production. The U.S. Department of Defense recently secured a US$400 million stake in MP Materials Corp., aligning with strategic initiatives to reduce dependence on imports for critical minerals essential for defense and technology industries.
