APL Logistics Launches Amsterdam Distribution Hub
On April 8, 2026, APL Logistics, part of the Kintetsu World Express (KWE) Group, announced the opening of a new distribution and fulfilment centre in the Port of Amsterdam. This facility is a response to increasing European demand and marks a strategic expansion of their infrastructure in the region.
The centre, located in the Atlaspark estate, spans 10,200 square meters with 13 loading docks. It benefits from excellent multimodal connectivity, including barge, rail, road, and air links. This positions it well to serve the wider Western European market and enhance access to major shipping routes via the nearby Port of Rotterdam.
Equipped with semi-automated technology, the facility integrates advanced robotics and automated systems with APL's global tech infrastructure. This ensures comprehensive purchase-order visibility and a range of services like quality checks and pan-EMEA distribution, addressing customer needs for agility and cost-effectiveness.
