Approval of Environmental Impact Assessment for Aclara's Penco Module

Aclara Resources Inc., alongside Grupo CAP, has received unanimous approval for its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Penco Module, a heavy rare earths project in Chile's Biobío Region. This landmark approval is accompanied by an Environmental Qualification Resolution, solidifying the project's environmental and social commitments.

Jose Augusto Palma, Executive VP at Aclara, emphasized the significance of this milestone for Aclara's sustainable mining vision and lauded the collaboration among public agencies, local communities, and stakeholders. This marks the completion of an extensive EIA process initiated in June 2024 and highlights Chile's potential in critical mineral supply chains.

With the EIA approved, Aclara progresses towards the project's Feasibility Study, anticipated by late 2026. The company aims to initiate construction by 2027, projecting commissioning of the Penco Module by mid-2028, supporting global rare earth markets.
