ARGAN Successfully Raises €500M Through First Green Bond Issuance
ARGAN has announced the successful placement of its inaugural €500 million green bond. Maturing in October 2029, the bond carries an annual coupon of 3.779%. The issuance aligns with ARGAN’s 2025 financial forecasts, highlighting strong investor confidence. The bond was 5.5 times oversubscribed, reflecting trust in ARGAN’s strategy and its BBB- credit rating.
Proceeds from the bond will refinance a 2021 €500 million bond, as detailed in ARGAN's Green Financing Framework. The issuance strengthens ARGAN’s financial structure amid a challenging market environment, allowing it to pursue medium-term growth with fortified financial support.
The bonds were allocated to a diverse group of institutional investors and will trade on Euronext Paris. J.P. Morgan led the transaction, supported by Crédit Agricole CIB, BNP Paribas, and Société Générale.
