BlackRock Inc. crosses 5% threshold in Arkema
On February 5, 2025, the American management company BlackRock Inc. crossed the threshold of 5% of the capital of the French company Arkema. This information was confirmed by a letter received on February 6, 2025. BlackRock now holds 5.06% of the capital of Arkema, or 3,847,814 shares, representing 4.04% of the voting rights.
This threshold crossing is linked to an acquisition of shares on the market and an increase in securities held as collateral. The shares include in particular 166,493 ADRs and 159,785 shares by "contracts for differences." In addition, 392,811 shares are held as collateral.
This transaction compares to a total capital of Arkema composed of 76,060,831 shares and 95,137,271 voting rights. BlackRock's ability to exercise voting rights depends on client demand for control of these rights.
