Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Expands with Reck & Co. Acquisition
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., through its subsidiary Gallagher Bassett, announced the acquisition of Reck & Co, a Bremen-based provider of global transport and marine claims services. The acquisition aims to broaden Gallagher Bassett's claims services across Europe. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Reck & Co., known for its expertise in surveying, claim handling, recovery, and loss prevention, will keep its current team headed by Franz Kasten and Marc Friedrich. They will operate under Manan Sagar, overseeing operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. expressed enthusiasm about integrating Reck & Co.'s established reputation in the marine insurance market with Gallagher's global operations. Headquartered in Illinois, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is a prominent firm in insurance, risk management, with a presence in about 130 countries.
