Assisi Hosts "Jordan: Dawn of Christianity" Exhibition
An international exhibition, "Jordan: Dawn of Christianity," will open on July 4 at Palazzo Monte Frumentario in Assisi. This marks the event's second major venue after debuting at the Vatican. The exhibition aims to strengthen the cultural and diplomatic ties between Jordan and Italy.
Assisi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, welcomes over 5 million visitors annually and offers deep historical and spiritual context. The exhibition aligns with Jubilee Year 2025 preparations, a significant year in Catholic tradition announced by Pope Francis.
The exhibit highlights five key Christian pilgrimage sites in Jordan, including the Bethany Beyond the Jordan, Mount Nebo, and Machaerus. It promotes Jordan as a top religious tourism destination and symbolizes a cultural bridge for mutual understanding.
