Austrian Post H1 2025: Stable Revenue Amid Economic Challenges

Austrian Post reported a stable revenue for the first half of 2025, despite challenging economic conditions. Group revenue reached EUR 1,488.1 million, a 1.1% decline from the same period in 2024, but still 15.8% higher than in 2023. The Mail division faced a revenue decrease of 5.9% compared to 2024 due to a drop in addressed letter mail volumes, while Parcel & Logistics saw a rise of 1.5%.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) were down 5.7% to EUR 199.4 million. The Retail & Bank division showed improved earnings, supported by bank99, contributing positively for the first time. Despite a lower operating profit, free cash flow increased significantly by 9.3% to EUR 160.9 million.

The firm anticipates revenue stability for 2025, with a target EBIT of EUR 200 million. Investments are projected between EUR 150 million and EUR 160 million, focusing on logistics decarbonization and growth in Southeast and Eastern Europe.
