Austrian Post's Q1-3 2025 Performance: Navigating Economic Headwinds
Austrian Post reported a mixed performance for Q1-3 2025, with revenues at EUR 2,212.4m, 1.1% down from 2024's high base due to election and currency effects. However, this represents a significant 12.3% growth over 2023. Mail revenue at EUR 847.0m saw a decline due to digital substitution, while Parcel & Logistics grew 3.9% from last year, reaching EUR 1,235.1m, boosted by growth in Austria and Türkiye despite intense competition.
EBITDA stood at EUR 295.1m, a 3.2% drop compared to 2024 but a 4.5% improvement over 2023. Net profit declined 8.3% to EUR 97.3m with earnings per share reduced to EUR 1.41. Despite economic challenges, Austrian Post maintained stable results with strategic focuses on electrification and decarbonisation, alongside continued investment in Southeast Europe and Türkiye.
