Aton Resources Publishes Metallurgical Results for Abu Marawat Deposit
Aton Mining Inc. has released new metallurgical test results for its Abu Marawat deposit in the Eastern Desert of Egypt. Nine composite samples from Abu Marawat underwent testwork to explore processing options, including cyanide leaching and flotation.
The samples, representing different mineralisation types, displayed varied results. Gold extraction via cyanide leaching ranged from 69.8% to 90.7%, and copper flotation achieved recoveries between 67% and 92%. Zinc depression posed challenges, particularly in transitional ore samples.
Aton's CEO, Tonno Vahk, highlighted the economic feasibility of processing oxide mineralisation using conventional routes, aiming to advance towards the incorporation of both Abu Marawat and Semna deposits into their exploitation lease.
