Aztec Minerals Reports Promising Drilling Results at Tombstone Project
Aztec Minerals Corp. announced significant findings from its 2025 drilling program at the Tombstone Property in Arizona. Notably, drill hole TR25-17 revealed a 36.5-meter zone with an average of 8.14 grams per tonne (gpt) gold and 49.67 gpt silver, including a high-grade section of 4.6 meters at 58.5 gpt gold and 158.0 gpt silver. The drill holes continue to show high-grade precious metal concentrations in a shallow oxidized zone.
With 29 reverse circulation (RC) holes completed, Aztec is focused on expanding the mineralized zones. The drilling campaign aims to widen the known mineralization horizontally and at depth. Mechanical challenges paused the core drilling portion, with operations expected to resume soon.
The company's CEO, Simon Dyakowski, noted that these results enhance Aztec's track record of uncovering high-grade mineral deposits within the historic Tombstone Silver District. The exploration efforts continue to validate the oxide gold-silver potential at the Contention Target area.
