Aztec Minerals Expands Mineralization in Tombstone Project
Aztec Minerals Corp. has announced successful drilling in the Westside area of the Tombstone Project, Arizona. The latest results include notable intersections such as 44.1 meters of 0.86 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent (AuEq). The company joins the Contention and Westside areas with a 250-meter step out, demonstrating significant continuity of mineralization.
The drilling program achieved key milestones, linking the Contention Main and Westside Anticline zones. Drill hole TR25-34 reported 40.2 meters averaging 1.09 g/t AuEq and TR25-36 intersected 44.1 meters at 0.86 g/t AuEq. These results extend the mineralized zone's width to approximately 500 meters, indicating substantial growth potential.
Aztec's 2025-2026 drilling campaign has completed 53 RC holes, with outcomes pending for additional targets. The continuous discovery of shallow oxidized gold-silver mineralized zones marks a significant step in the project's development.
