Banyan Gold Launches Diamond Drill Program at AurMac Project
Banyan Gold Corp. has initiated its 2026 diamond drilling and exploration program at the AurMac Project in Yukon. This fully funded 40,000-meter campaign will concentrate mainly on the Airstrip and Powerline deposits. Drilling will focus on project advancement and expanding the known mineralized zones of high-grade gold and silver.
Approximately 80% of the drill budget targets these deposits, which currently hold a combined indicated mineral resource of 2.274 million ounces of gold and an inferred resource of 5.453 million ounces. Exploration on the largely untested regional projects, including Nitra, accounts for the remaining 20% of the budget.
The exploration strategy includes integrating geophysical data and soil geochemical anomalies to identify new discovery opportunities, particularly among 10 targets that have remained undrilled so far. The efforts aim to further understand the Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold Systems and assess potential expansions along known mineralized domains.
