Wudinna Testwork Shows Promising Gold Recovery Rates
Barton Gold Holdings Limited has announced encouraging results from initial metallurgical testing at their Wudinna Gold Project in South Australia. The tests suggest significant regional potential, with gold recovery rates reaching up to 99.3% via conventional gravity and leaching processes.
The Barns Deposit showed efficient flotation capabilities, concentrating about 90% of the gold into a smaller mass with recovery rates between 97-99%. The nearby Baggy Green Deposit also performed well, achieving gold recoveries of 91% in the supergene zone and up to 99% in the primary zone.
The results present an opportunity for Barton to transport high-grade concentrates to its Central Gawler Mill or the future Tunkillia facility, capitalizing on existing infrastructure to reduce costs and increase returns. These findings underscore the strategic importance of the Wudinna acquisition.
