Barton Gold's Challenger West Assays Reveal Promising High-Grade Gold Discoveries
Barton Gold Holdings Limited has disclosed new assay results from the Challenger West pit at its South Australian project. Recent drilling identified shallow, high-grade mineralisation, notably in the pit floor. Assay results highlighted intervals such as 3m at 20.6 g/t gold (Au) from 13 metres, including 1m at 59.5 g/t Au from 15 metres. Additionally, a 1m sample returned a high of 20.5 g/t Au from 17 metres.
The assays form part of an 8,065m reverse circulation drilling campaign aimed at enhancing resource understanding at Challenger. The findings follow discoveries of grades up to 170 g/t Au in the ‘Main’ pit walls, and they're key to developing a feasible Stage 1 operation. Barton is advancing a Definitive Feasibility Study to optimise operations at the fully permitted Central Gawler Mill.
Further assays from the Challenger South-Southwest and Challenger 3 targets are pending.
