BASF SE Reports Preliminary 2025 Financial Figures
BASF SE has released preliminary financial figures for 2025. The company's free cash flow reached €1.3 billion, surpassing both analyst expectations of €0.6 billion and BASF's forecasted range of €0.4 billion to €0.8 billion. However, EBITDA before special items was reported at €6.6 billion, below both the consensus of €6.7 billion and the company's expected range of €6.7 billion to €7.1 billion.
The total sales for 2025 are projected at €59.7 billion, aligning closely with analyst estimates. Despite a slight increase in sales volumes, negative currency effects and lower prices affected sales performance. BASF's EBIT was €1.6 billion, which fell short of the €2.2 billion consensus, driven by higher restructuring costs.
Net income is anticipated to be €1.6 billion, exceeding the €1.2 billion consensus due to improved earnings from Wintershall Dea. The 2025 BASF Report is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026.
