Bausch Health Announces 2025 Gastrointestinal Health Scholars Program Winners
Bausch Health Companies Inc., along with its gastroenterology division Salix Pharmaceuticals, has announced the 2025 recipients of its Salix Gastrointestinal Health Scholars Program. Ten students with gastrointestinal diseases will each receive a $10,000 scholarship, marking the program's sixth year. The scholarship aims to support higher education for students facing GI conditions.
More than 370 applicants vied for the scholarship, submitting personal essays on how their conditions have influenced their educational journeys. Awards were given in categories including Undergraduate, Graduate, and Working and/or Single Parent Scholar Awards.
The initiative not only provides financial assistance but also acknowledges the resilience and determination of these students. Recipients like Alexis Weary and Samantha Smith expressed gratitude, highlighting how the scholarship supports their academic and professional aspirations.
