BIOSYNEX is considering the sale of its Molecular Biology business
Biosynex, based in Strasbourg, has received a binding offer to sell its molecular biology business to a pharmaceutical company. This transaction is contingent upon several agreements, including authorization from the supervising judge overseeing Biosynex's safeguard proceedings and the release of secured creditors.
The proceeds from the sale, estimated at around €4 million, will be deposited with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (French Deposits and Consignments Fund) during the observation period. This strategic decision aims to refocus Biosynex on its core segments such as family health and rapid testing.
The sale will include the Ampliflash® and Ampliquick® product lines, as well as the transfer of technological assets and the R&D team. A transition period will see Biosynex outsource the production of the products concerned.
