Bitterroot Resources Secures $5.22 Million for Michigan Exploration

Bitterroot Resources Ltd., through its subsidiary Trans Superior Resources, Inc., has obtained a US$5.22 million investment from the U.S. Department of War. This funding aligns with the Defense Production Act Title III initiative to support nickel exploration in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The project will involve a 50/50 cost share, focusing on drilling and surveys for the LM Project, a prominent nickel-copper venture.

The exploration project is located in the Baraga Basin, home to the Talon Metals' Eagle Mine, the only nickel mine in the USA. The approved funds will target unexplored depths of 400-700 meters within the LM conduit. The exploration program in late 2026 will include 15-20 core holes, using geophysical techniques to pinpoint high-grade nickel-copper deposits. Bitterroot aims to capitalize on domestic nickel and copper resources.

CEO Michael Carr emphasized the significance of the non-dilutive funding in advancing their aggressive drilling efforts. The project partners hold substantial prospects in pursuing high-grade discoveries crucial for the development of US resources.
