Borussia Dortmund Announces Leadership Changes and Contract Extensions

Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA has recently announced key changes within its management team. Carsten Cramer transitions from Speaker to Chairman of the Management Board. His contract has been extended until June 30, 2031. Meanwhile, Lars Ricken, serving as Managing Director Sports, has secured an extension of his tenure until June 30, 2030.

Thomas Treß, another significant figure in the management, has opted for a shorter extension of his contract, now ending on June 30, 2028, with plans to later engage in supervisory roles and consultancy. Svenja Schlenker, newly appointed as Managing Director in November 2025, remains under the current terms until June 2028.

These decisions by the Presidential Committee aim to ensure stability and continuity in the leadership of Borussia Dortmund.
