Borussia Dortmund Appoints Ole Book as New Director Sport

Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA has announced the appointment of Ole Book as its new Director Sport, effective March 25, 2026. The 40-year-old will take over the sporting management of the eight-time German champions, with a contract valid until June 2029. Ole Book previously served at Sportvereinigung 07 Elversberg e.V., where he successfully advanced the club from the Regionalliga to the 2. Bundesliga.

Lars Ricken, Managing Director Sport at Borussia Dortmund, expressed confidence in Book's capacity, citing his notable achievements at Elversberg. CEO Carsten Cramer highlighted Book's youthful vigor and experience, aligning with Borussia Dortmund’s values of ambition and team spirit.

Ole Book conveyed his enthusiasm about joining Borussia Dortmund, emphasizing his personal connection to the club and his commitment to its future success. The official introduction is scheduled for a press conference on March 25, 2026.
