Business Leaders Advocate for Clean Electrification Amidst Fossil Fuel Instability
A global survey conducted across 18 nations reveals wide business support for transitioning to electricity derived from renewables. The study was released by the We Mean Business Coalition. It indicates that geopolitical instability is accelerating the shift towards clean electrification.
The survey shows 91% of business leaders believe electrification enhances energy security, and 79% find such a transition more urgent due to current instabilities. By 2035, 90% of business operations are expected to be electrified.
Despite the push for renewable electricity, 72% of those surveyed argue that government policies are not advancing promptly. Meanwhile, Turkish and Australian COP31 hosts advocate for running industries on electricity to promote growth and competitiveness.
This survey reflects the growing importance placed on clean electrification as essential for future economic resilience and climate action.
