Mantle and Bybit Collaborate to Introduce USDT0

On November 27, 2025, Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, announced a partnership with Mantle Network to support USDT0, the cross-chain version of Tether’s USDT stablecoin. This collaboration marks Bybit as one of the first global exchanges to facilitate seamless USDT0 cross-chain transactions. USDT0 utilizes LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token standard, presenting a uniform liquidity layer with a mint-and-burn mechanism, designed to simplify and unify stablecoin liquidity across networks.

Mantle Network now stands as the largest exchange-related Layer 2 network by total value locked. By enabling direct USDT0 deposits and withdrawals between Mantle and Bybit, users benefit from zero-fee transfers for a limited period. This strategic move enhances Mantle's position as a hub for decentralized finance and institutional capital markets, offering a fast and low-cost transaction environment.

This initiative reflects a significant industry shift towards a unified stablecoin standard that integrates issuers, exchanges, and high-performance networks to support the evolving onchain finance landscape.
