Carrefour Announces Board Decisions and Committee Changes
On March 13, 2025, Carrefour's Board of Directors made key decisions regarding its leadership. The board unanimously agreed, based on the Governance Committee's recommendations, to renew the terms of Flavia Buarque de Almeida, Charles Edelstenne, and Eduardo Rossi. These terms are set to extend for three years until the 2028 Shareholders’ Meeting.
However, Charles Edelstenne will no longer be recognized as an independent director due to the duration of his service. This decision aligns with the governance regulations outlined by the AFEP/MEDEF code and the Autorité des marchés financiers.
Significant changes were also made to the board's committee composition. Charles Edelstenne has transitioned from the Governance Committee to the Strategic Committee. Aurore Domont has been appointed as Chair of the Governance Committee, while Claudia Almeida e Silva will now lead the CSR Committee.
