Carrefour Completes Sale of Minority Stake in Turkey
On July 31, 2026, Carrefour finalized the sale of its minority stake in CarrefourSA, Turkey. The 89% share, held collectively by Carrefour (32%) and Sabancı (57%), was sold to Yeni Mağazacılık A.Ş., operating the A101 retail chain. This transaction was concluded following necessary regulatory approvals and traditional closing conditions.
Yeni Mağazacılık A.Ş. is controlled by Turgut Aydın Holding. This strategic move allows Carrefour to streamline its focus and operations in different regions. Importantly, the sale does not present a significant financial impact on Carrefour's overall financial position.
