Carrefour Finalizes Sale of Romanian Operations to Paval Holding
On June 30, 2026, Carrefour completed the sale of its Romanian activities to Paval Holding. This follows the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals and the fulfillment of customary closing conditions. The sale aligns with Carrefour's strategy to concentrate on its main markets.
This transaction will be followed by an exceptional dividend payout of €150 million, or €0.21 per share, to be distributed on July 30, 2026. Alexandre Bompard, Chairman and CEO of Carrefour, emphasized the significance of this milestone in the company's ongoing portfolio review and expressed gratitude to the Romanian teams for their dedication.
Carrefour Romania is now deconsolidated from Carrefour Group effective June 30, 2026.
